Look for P6 or P8
Essential Housing floor plans end in ".P6" or ".P8" on our Floor Plans page, such as S1.P6, A1.P6 or B2.P8.

Match Your Income Limit
P6 homes are for households earning up to 60% of the area median income (AMI). P8 homes are for households earning up to 80% of AMI. Limits are set by home size.

Meet the Rent Requirement
Whether you choose a P6 or P8 home, your household must also earn at least 2.5 times the monthly rent.

What You Will Need
Pre-Qualify in Three Steps

- Any additional documents needed for each person's individual income and assets
Our Essential Housing program is monitored and audited by the Houston Housing Authority. We verify the information every applicant provides, including government-issued photo ID, income and credit, to protect our residents and community from fraud.
